Meat protein in all its forms can be a beautiful thing. It gives our dogs and cats the primary nutrition they need to thrive and it’s highly digestible and bioavailable.
Yet sourcing meat sustainably can be a challenge. Dogs and cats are voracious consumers of animal protein, and it’s estimated that between 20-30% of the negative environmental impacts of meat production can be attributed to their daily consumption.
That is, until now. Employing similar processes to those used in craft brewing, we’re able to harvest the same, nature-identical chicken, turkey, beef, and other high-value proteins that can serve as the foundation of pet food recipes, with significantly less resources and carbon intensity- and without harming other animals.

Earlier in the month we were honored to host VIPs in Boulder, Colorado to celebrate the completion of our new, state-of-the-art Food Lab. Props to anchor partners @hillspet, ADM, Genoa Ventures and all of our supporters who made this new home possible.
With this 15,000 sf facility and the additional horsepower we’re running faster in our pursuit of a more responsible, nutritious pet food future.
