Meat makers for the pet food world.
Sustainable, scalable, nutritionally complete proteins that are brewed not farmed, for a variety of pet food applications.
Crafting a better meat.
Meat protein in all its forms can be a beautiful thing. It gives our dogs and cats the primary nutrition they need to thrive and it’s highly digestible and bioavailable.
Yet sourcing meat sustainably can be a challenge. Dogs and cats are voracious consumers of animal protein, and it’s estimated that between 20-30% of the negative environmental impacts of meat production can be attributed to their daily consumption.
That is, until now. Employing similar processes to those used in craft brewing, we’re able to harvest the same, nature-identical chicken, turkey, beef, and other high-value proteins that can serve as the foundation of pet food recipes, with significantly less resources and carbon intensity- and without harming other animals.
We’re masters of this craft in the pet food industry.
If you’re looking to diversify your formulary options with a wholly sustainable, scalable protein, our world-class team is at the ready to make your meaty dreams a reality.
Thanks @claytonsandell and @matt_anzur for this Scripps Media story on Bond’s fermentation outpost in Fort Collins, and tasting a fresh batch of chicken.

Bond is growing. And no better way to keep it that way than with our latest addition - Chief Business Officer, Cindy Bryant.
For the past two decades Cindy has led business development efforts at companies such as Amyris, Demetrix and Novozymes out of Copenhagen, Denmark and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, where she managed its biofuels, biomass and household care units.
Now in Boulder she’ll be blazing new trails, mapping out commercial meat protein programs for our international pet food partners.
On your mark, get set and go now.
We’re gonna make that dream come true.

"The industry would be well-advised to watch Bond closely as it begins to scale manufacturing, knowing pet parents are desperately looking for a way to exercise their desire for more sustainable choices in the pet foods they buy."

Our science team just got better.
Samantha Kent joins Bond as our first Research Associate and Lab Manager.
Sam moved to Colorado from the Midwest, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and helped develop new products as Food Technologist at Bay Valley Foods.
Once her hiking shoes were firmly planted in the Front Range, she completed her Master of Science in Chemistry (Biochemistry Emphasis) at the University of Colorado Denver and then plugged into the Boulder biotech scene for two years producing and testing antibodies for use as inexpensive therapeutics.
Now, meat is on her research menu.
No doubt her cat Porter would approve.
